For those who don't know, Colton Herta purchased the Reynard 98i-Ford Cosworth, which his dad Bryan Herta drove for Team Rahal during the 1998 CART season and gave it to him for his birthday back in May. The engine was rebuilt and the livery freshened up and both he and his dad took it for some laps round Laguna Seca.

I found my inner nerd calling, so I had to satisfy it.
The last time a Reynard-Ford Cosworth raced at Laguna Seca, was in the 2004 Bridgestone Grand Prix of Monterey. Brazillian driver Mario Haberfeld, drove a Reynard 02i-Ford Cosworth XFE for Walker Racing. He finished 7th.

What are Canapino's chances/options?
Are both of the Juncos seats available? Lot of drivers will be fighting over DCR ,ECR and Foyt seats. |

Think he is needing money to carry on but it sounds like he's got JHR looking for it for him as well.
Stingy needs to find money AND a seat, although DCR will be available if he finds it RHR is likely out of the ECR seat, wonder if Ed will step out and let him take that #33 Indy seat but guessing he's got a few more runs in him Sounds like MP isn't sure AA will replace Devlin's seat with a 4th or drop to 3 cars, guessing that Steinbrenner business money ain't all it was cracked up to be Sounds like the 77 for Ilott will be "McLaren" in branding and funded for JHR, from older silly season MP article Think we have 2x DCR, 1x ECR (20), 1x RLL (30?) and are both AJR seats open or do they have deals for Ferrucci and Pedersen? So 4 or 6 seats open still? Add in Hunter McElrea and champ Christian Rasmussen to the mix for seats and there's gonna be some dudes sitting on the outside looking at Indy to make a mark |

On the back of IndyCar's successful open test in February this year at The Thermal Club, just outside of Palm Springs, California, IndyCar is holding the $1 Million Challenge on Sunday March 24, 2024, which NBC will be broadcasting.

I'm especially interested in the charity side.
I always thought that North American all-star competitions should not increase prize money for players, but for charities. Imagine if the NBA All-Star Game had Team LeBron and Team Giannis would play for a 75-25% split of a 10 million dollar prize for two different charities. Now that would be game on! |

Canapino raced well yesterday, so it may help to draw sponsors. And they got into the Leaders Circle, which certainly helps.
Argentine has a 100% annual inflation. and the leading presidential candidate is promising to "put dynamite on the Central Bank" and close half of the ministries. Don't expect a single dime from there. |

2024 schedule announcement should happen soon. Supposedly it was waiting for Toronto City Council to approve their 2024 date of July 21, which appears to have happened today.
