Gregg Hansford - 10 years have passed
It's exceptionally hard to think that a talented driver and decent bloke was taken from us doing what he loved best. The race track has never been the same without Gregg's involvement.
I am surely he is widely missed and hope that all of those who are currently competing at and attending the Melbourne Formula One Grand Prix take a moment to remember talent so prematurely lost. To anyone who knew Gregg - family, friend, or racing driver - you were truly lucky |

Gregg Hansford Tribute
The National Motor Racing Museum at Bathurst has created an exhibition as a tribute to the late Gregg Hansford. It has been more than 10 years since he was killed at Phillip Island. Five bikes that Gregg rode during his illustrious career, the KR250, KR350, KR750,H2R750 and the Yamaha TZ700 are on display at the Museum together with leathers, photos and trophies. We should never forget our heroes - so here's the tribute.

I agree and welcome to the forum Museum Manager
Greg was a solid driver and im sure had a huge future in car racing itself besides what he did on bikes. as much as i hate to quote Alan Jones but I remember him saying "when anyone was asked about Greg the answer was always "Yeah a bloody good bloke" Im sure he was , I never met or even saw him race live (that I know of) but just from the way he was presented on TV he was in fact one of the nicest guys you would want on Tv , but a tiger behind the wheel. RIP Greg , gone but never ever forgotten. |
