The 70's race sounds really good - good mix of cars - But as for the Top Hat race i will have no one to dice with but just avoid the V8's lapping me...

Great racing and the weather held out too.
Highlights being Jackie Oliver hanging onto the back of Leo Voyazides and nearly catching him on the last lap and some of James Hanson's laps in the Cologne Capri were fantastic. Lowlights being the gorgerous Pepper Mustang ending up bent, as were Rae Davies' A35 and the Woodman/Cox Colonge Capri. And I hope the mechanic on the grid that got a face full of fuel before the Stars/Touring 70's race was OK. I took some pics, they are all here: http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y96...asters%202008/ |

My brother had never seen a racing Datto in this country before so I had to work hard to explain to him it wasn't an Escort.

Race control were also caught out by that I believe the mechanic was sent to the med centre with some bad burns to the hands and his face was also got, other people who were at the front of the grid may know more. I was on the way back from the back of the grid. |

Here are the videos, sorry I didn't catch the actual impact fully but you get the feeling it was a bad one. Also if anyone wants any more videos from any cars just tell me.

After re-watching that,it look's as though there were some kind of problem with the car, does'nt seem to be much driver input.Main thing is that the driver is hopefully OK.

As i say the video isn't really that good, but I reckon he was just trying to keep up with the pack, but as he didn't have the wide tyres the rest did he just lost the back end and he was still accelerating on the grass.
