VSC. Close pit lane.
This may be incompatible with the IMSA ideals though. I do think they like the cars to be bunched every so often.

"Every so often" is the key here. That is fine. But not all the time. Especially in the endurance races. VSC for debris and stalled car situations would be ideal. If you want maintain current safety car procedures in IMSA for crashes and bad weather that is fine. Debris and stalled cars on the track make up for 50-60% of the safety car periods in IMSA right now roughly I think.

I don't think they need to bring the caution out all the time. Just bring it out when it's needed. At least they have the VSC option now, so they don't to bring the actual SC out all the time. Obviously if there is a massive crash or torrential rain then bring it out, but not for minor things like debris or other things that can be cleared in less than a minute. Too many SCs can happen, but they should only come out if necessary

Thanks to this as a kid I can say I got to see guys like AJ Foyt, Mario Andretti, Emerson Fittipaldi, Al Unser Sr race. Even though I followed auto racing for the first time in 1989. That might not have been true if they all retired at age 42 like many of them are doing now.

Wow the Le Mans shifting is going to have a huge trickle down effect. I think IMSA better right now get the date at V.I.R moved up to May or June.

And now its later in the day. VIR has been pushed BACK to October. I don't agree with that. There was a gap in June and they should have put it there.

There are 2 races in June including the 6 hour at The Glen. Adding another round would be tougher there.
Possibly better to have held it in hand and await any announcements regarding Mosport on July 4. BUT running on July 4 was terrible for Indy at The Glen so maybe better to leave that for Canada and we can watch in the US

Morgan's response was then he can come to the track. Or might want to actually send you away and he can have his time.
But also said bring him, give him whiskey and tell he's a man, where's your beard now good sir.

Ha! He's into paranormal stuff so maybe Skunk Ape too? Wait, those are real...
Used to be the Hawaiian Tropics girls helping kids into sportscar racing. Now they can find that on their damn phone.
