Donington Masters Historic Race Weekend 2-3 April 2021

Don't think this meeting has been mentioned on here so far so here's some details.

Timetable

Entry List

https://www.mastershistoricracing.co...try%20List.pdf

Really impressive grids across the board. Obviously a shame the event will be behind closed doors but there will be a live stream of some sorts across both days.

Thanks for sharing.

F1 'demonstration' is rather misnamed.

Such a shame there won't be anyone to demonstrate too

No problem.

Indeed though the Renault R26 sticks out along with the Jordan 191.

Lets hope the entry is as good for the Brands round.

Yeah seems the one year Masters get an entry that's very good for the Donington event is the one you can't attend. Such is life.

Just seen that arctic weather is forecast for next weekend. Oh good, I'm @ Mallory on Thursday & Friday and Donington on Monday, better dig my thermals out.

I am not racing at Donington but we are testing Wednesday and Sunday. Yep Easter Sunday test. Then have to turn round and head to Goodwood Monday.

750 there on Easter Monday, forecast says 50% chance of rain or snow.
I'm @ Mallory tomorrow and looking out the window @ the moment it's wet & windy. As they say things can only get better.

Looking forward to it. No testing this spring due to work so straight into qualifying. Historic sportscars looks a pretty competitive entry, fingers are crossed for a finish and decent result.

Some of the frids were rather thin I thought. No doubt due to COVID but I sometimes think Masters run more events than are needed, but they must make a profit!

How on earth can you have a two day amateur race meeting when it’s illegal to stay away from home overnight???

You run qualifying and races on each day. We are doing the same at the Donington historic festival.

And no teams / mechanics work both days?

All different officials, or do they all go home every night??

They probably go home each night. Not really our problem, the event was very good and I'm hoping the same in four weeks time. I will travel each day.
