Great day out at Mallory today.

Hi Guys, just got back in from Mallory Park (Sunday 18th May) and I must say how much I enjoyed it. I met up with old racing mates, like Les Nash, who I reminded of the day he had to have a police escort off the cicuit (well his brother anyway) when a race we were in at Mallory turned rather...ahem.....wild! Not that Les or I condoned such behaviour. Chris Meek, pricess ITA Escort was another, seems ages since Chris and I were at Longridge way back in the early seventies. Yep a really great day. Commiserations to the drivers involved in the shunt along the start finish part of the track, hope your all ok, and the repairs won't be too costly.
Thanks to all my old mates for making me so very welcome.
Gerry.

On behalf of all of us in ''orange'', thanks for a superb meeting. Excellant and close racing, only 1 red flag and finished 30 minutes early.

Excellent day, although I though some of the driving standards were a little....robust in places.

Great variety in cars though, and a very healty Classic and Historic grid.

Nice to meet you at last Gerry funny you were just how I imagined which is often not the case when you meet someone you have chatted with a lot on the net, sorry I could not put on a better display for you in the Chevy, new engine teething problem culminating in a thrown fan belt of all things which is odd because I have never had a problem with it before. Agree about the driving in places though, I think a bit of May Madness set in somewhere even amoungst those that are long enough in the tooth to know better!
