Robertson Racing #40 Ford GT

The naturally aspirated 5.0L engine, boasting a 3.7 inch bore and a 3.543 inch stroke, was built by Chris Smith and Steve Ridgeway of Elan Power Products, which is part of the Panoz Group. Power gets transferred through the steel heart by a Winberg crankshaft attached to eight swinging Mahle pistons via steel Carillo connecting rods. The 13 quart, dry-sump, oiling system ensures proper lubrication and cooling throughout. Comp Cams custom ground solid lifter camshafts provide the bump. This particular 305 cubic inch air pump puts out about 500 crank horsepower and nearly the same amount of torque. This is all manageable through a pair of ALMS mandated 29.1 millimeter intake air restrictors.

Even as a newbe, I also am unsure other then the fact that he's showing a photo shoot in a photo thread. So to tie this back to the overall idea of motorsports photography, I will offer up a couple I took of the car in action (2010 Petit Le Mans, Road Atlanta, USA)

The Robertson's Doran built car is. The Matech cars for sale currently meet FIA GT-1 regs.

Changes that are needed to the cars are here:
