Jimmy Vasser to race at Fontana

It would appear that Vasser is prepping for the Indy 500. I kind of like this crossing over, hopefully next year when the specs are similiar we'll see some IRL guys at some CART races. I'm sure Scott Sharp wouldn't mind doing some road courses.

Hattori just signed on with Bradley Motorsports (Buzz Calkins old ride) He brings sponsorship from EPSON and also Infinity engines that the team will begin using at Fontana (they will run a Chevy at Phoenix)

This was a ride that some felt might go to Greg Ray, but Hattori came up with the bucks, and money talks, as they say.

Vasser and Rahal with Miller Lite are running Fontana as a tune up for Indy, I'm surprised that Team Green isn't doing this as well since CART has such a long break until Long Beach. (April 14) Perhaps their Indy Sponsors (7-11 and Budweiser) don't care to fund another race.

yeah it would be good to see Jourdain in there as well , but maybe they are only gonna field the one car for Vasser because of money or something , but Jourdain is pretty good on the ovals so i would like to see him given the chance

26 cars for Fontana already? That is good news. I was really hoping that they could get together 33 cars.

Remember how pretty that Epson car was? It was never too fast, but it looked good!

hahahahaha , good one macdaddy

and yes as the good doctor said the EPSON car looked great last year and on occasion Hattori had it circulating at a reasonable speed , hopefully this year he can do a good job for the Bradley team , and well done to them on picking up a driver who has a pretty decent sponsor.

In 2000, the IRL had more average entries than CART per race. In 2001, CART took the edge back, and in 2002 the IRL has more entries again.
