I don't see any reason for BTCC to change the regs for next year. The season is over, what does it matter where you race the cars now.

Apparently, TCT changes their rules last week to allow current-spec NGTC cars, although that seemed to have been kept quiet until now. TCT website still has the pre-season draft regs, so don't bother to check there.

I'm not sure why Gow should be fuming? That regulation is there to stop teams entering other series to get additional testing miles under their belts at BTCC circuits (if the TCT started at Snetterton for example the BTCC teams could otherwise enter that round and hone their setups ahead of the BTCC round at Snetterton). It's just a regulation to stop in season testing - so HARD running in the TCT after the BTCC season has finished is no drama.

There's a chance that the HARD cars will be a third of the grid for the TCT round. I suppose it'll be their biggest grid of the season?

A few more extra cars out this time. Adam Morgan in a Cupra, Richard Woods in the ex btcc Focus with a wtcc engined Focus, Bradley Burns in a Subaru and Stewart Lines in a PMR Astra.

5 of those are BTCC cars though so I don't think would be allowed when the series has started? I'd say chances are slim; Lines is wanting to run a TCR Europe program next year which says how much confidence he has in is own series!

Maybe the future is to run as a winter series, after the BTCC has finished and before the next season has started.

Why is it amusing that he is driving a car allowed by the regs? He founded TCT to give NGTC cars more use. He has jumped on the opportunity to use a front running car for the weekend.

"Information from TCR UK stated that Bradley Burns was entered for the race by BMR Racing to race a BTCC specification Subaru Levorg. Burns contacted TouringCarTimes, stating that he had been offered a drive by the team but had to turn it down due to other commitments."

Think its more a case of team and series jumping the gun that he would there. Let's not forget that we had a preview earlier in the year mentioning Teamwork two days after they quit the series....

Wasn't Mark Blundell thinking of trying out a Amd Honda in this round? Guessing that's not happening now.

I'm surprised there aren't more btcc cars and teams entered. Seems like a decent way to let a driver sample a btcc car in race conditions without pressure

The TCR website describes the entry as a 'bumper grid' - I make it 11 cars? That's more like 'half a grid'.

...which would give him unhindered access to the armco! At least in BTCC more often than not he's slowed down by the impact of belting someone elses car before the marshalls have to dive for cover
