Oh well just seen the entry list, great festival of rallycross this is going to be!!

47 cars overall!
26 entries in the BRC section hardly a good advertisment for a great BRC.

Think i'll give this one a miss and save my money for some proper rallycross in Europe.

I think this event may throw up a few surprises.

With a depleeted entry you may see some unusual names at the front.

Don Shannon, Grant, Binksy?

Me and Ricardo will be up there representing the horton racing clan.

Steve won't be racing as his miss's is due with there first child that weekend.

After the problems i had with the metro at pembrey i for one can't wait to get going at knockhill. Finishing 2nd to last in the B final at Pembrey has certainly given me a kick up the backside that i needed.

Hopefully we have addressed all the issues and should be back up there again.

See you all up there

Si

Supermodified really seems to have lost its way this year as regards entries. Could it be time for a weight penalty on the lotus. If there was the type of performance difference in any other class, that the lotus enjoys then something you feel something would be done.

Is there any sign of turpin's vauxhall finally making an apperance ?

Doesn't look good for the future of supermodified. Weight penalties are the only way forward... but can you introduce these mid-season?

Its worth bearing in mind though that Knock Hill never gets all that many entries - and I guess some people will be saving their money for the big Lydden, Croft and London meetings still to come.

I can only see 16 cars entered!

Where is Doran then?

Don't think british rallycross has ever been in such a bad state. Off topic, but i think the RSS could / should be running the championship this time next year.

Let's not start all this again!

Knockhill always has a lower entry than anywhere else, because it is a long way from the main areas of competitors. Pembrey & Anglesey have the same problem, but the entry there is boosted by the Irish entrys.
Everybody knows this, so using it as a fact to pull down the BRDA is a pointless exercise. No matter who was running the championship the situation would be the same.

IMHO, rallycross needs to keep going to these circuits. Then more people will see the sport and maybe want to get involved. So let's put a positive spin on it and try to draw the crowds in rather than push them away with the constant bickering.

According to last weeks Motorsports News, Pat isn't doing Knockhill because 1) he can't win the championship this year & 2) he wants to do some European events & is going to put all the money from the Knockhill trip to help fund a European trip.

So Doran is not going to Knockhill because he can't win the championship. If every-one did the same there would only be a handfull of cars at each meeting. I thought Doran was involved in BRDA.

Be interesting to see how he gets on in europe though. I was told his car is not legal because the engine sits too far back. It does look like the engine sits well behind the front of the windscreen. Maybee the std fiesta bulkhead is that shape, which i think would be ok.

I think you'll find that the most of the competitors are just in for the fun of competing in rallycross & that they know they haven't a hope in hell of winning a heat, never mind the championship, but they still turn up every meeting,
& i'm sure you know as well as i do that Pat is more than capable of winning the championship & so does Pat....!

Right... first of all-

Doran is not competing at Knockhill because, if you read on his website, it is asking to much of the team to do 4 events in a row (knockhill, belgium, holland, Lydden).

&

Just to let you know Pats Fiesta is up to European regulations and is fully legal

Anyways.. bring on Europe!!
