more photos from Brisbane launch of V8's

here are a few more from my collection taken at the launch in Brisbane. I have put them in here because they are not photos of the cars in their entirety.

And how would the signwriter responsible for the BigPond transporter feel?

Stands back.
Folds arms.
Admires work.

Then TC sidles up to him.

"Actually China's off..."

And it seems GRM has joined PMM in the air-conditioning club.

There's a switch right there on the dash...

The wings on the Falcons look so much a part of the car than the Holden wings, which look like oversized $500 specials from Autobarn.

The HRT cars look smarter this year, and I like the Jack Daniels livery. Should a Ford not win, then my next choice is Richo in this bourbon machine! I wish 888 had done something new with their cars. And despite what Bazil said in the Bargs thread, the paint job looked the same as the pre-Saturday livery, only the yellow stripe on the wheels became grey/silver?

They should have got the same guy who did the WPS transporter livery to do the cars while they were at it... the truck and trailer look heaps better than the cars !

WPS = Woeful Paint Scheme ?

You beat me to it, I was thinking the same thing! The truck just looks more cohesive and finished.

If its the same transporter they had at bathrust a few years ago, One of the guys explained to me they cant actually open the door wide enough while the car is in the transporter so a bloke can get in/out of the car when loading/unloading it.

On the V8SA site there is a photo from the launch day in Brisvegas of the CAT/FPR car with there door off too. When you look inside the trailers there is bugger all room to move, originally they used to just push the cars in with out steering, must be easier to do with them in it these days.

I too am wondering why someone needs to be in the car when they load it. Surely, they have stops to prevent the car rolling back and a winch to pull it forward.

I'm guessing they are woried about the cars hitting on the inside walls of the trailers again.

What would workcover say about the new style of removing cars from the transporters.
