I do think so. I do also think Jamie will try to avoid any kind of track comparison from now on. F3 is the big league, not what she has been racing.

And it needs a higher FIA licence to drive the new chassis.

That I am pretty sure she can obtain easily. In the end, if you read some press, she is the new Queen of motorsports.

Asa should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
https://macaudailytimes.com.mo/manda...rix-races.html

Macau’s Guia Circuit will experience some minor changes to the track this year to accommodate the racing program, including the addition of the new Formula 3 car models.

But the most significant change will be seen in the widening of the Mandarin bend by moving the barriers further out, the Times has learned from a source, who asked not to be identified because they are not authorized to speak to media about the plans.

The move is justified as “a way to help to prevent accidents” such as those which have previously occurred at that section of the circuit, including a major accident in 2012 that resulted in the death of Hong Kong racer, Phillip Yau, when his Chevrolet Cruze hit the barrier at high speed during the Macau Touring Car Cup.

However, there has been some doubt cast on whether widening the track will help prevent such accidents.

A former Macau Grand Prix competitor who knows the circuit and racing sports in general, told the Times, “for racers, a wider bend always means that you can go faster through it. That’s the standard thinking. Everybody in the racing world knows this.”

=================================================
I am also not sure widening Mandarin Bend will help to reduce accidents. The new F3 cars are already faster and you make the corner even faster? I am not sure what the logic is behind the idea.

There's a lot of pressure on that statement. What if she proves to be average or unsuccessful against a 'standard' motorsport grid, discrediting the entire process of W Series in itself?

Wow.

Unintended consequences of trying to keep drivers within track limits.

Looks like Peroni is okay.

Big hit for Alex, glad he his okay.

Wonder what the officials were thinking, when they decide to put a launching pad on the outside of a corner!

Did he race? Nobody noticed his performance.

FDA's Robert is the Champion of the inaugural FIA F3 by the way.

Well, David is (or his manager) supposed to know that. If he jumped into that ship, he knew where he was going. The road ahead is not some predetermined path.

A Version 2.1 of racing regulations for Macau is published, some updates being spotted:

a. Each driver only have 4 sets of dry tyres (instead of 7 front, 7 rear dry tyres on last year)and 3 sets of wet tyres for the whole weekend.

b. Although the sessions arrangement remain unchanged for the 2019 event, however, FIA highlighted in the regulations that they reserves the right to split qualifying practice into sessions if it deems necessary.

c. It is set that VSC will replace FCY for this year's event.

It seems that the entry list for all of the events for this year's Macau GP will be published by this week. Let's wait and see.

FIA released a statement mentioned a full grid from all FIA F3 teams will race in Macau. With some special entries

Dan Ticktum, the winner for the past 2 years, will join Carlin attempting a third victory.

Ferdinand Harsburg, almost winner in 2017, will join ART

Enzo Fittipaldi, Former Haas development driver, will race for Charouz

Callum Illot also join Charouz.

But many teams still did not decide their entries

Enzo Fittipaldi is Not a former Haas development driver. That's his brother.

Dan Ticktum is the one to watch. He can save his season.
