Claire, isn't there a saying- "Any publicity is good publicity"? If my one and only claim to fame relates to one exuberant pit lane exit then that will do....

Looking forward to Ace now that I live an hour closer.

Give it a very stern telling off, then switch it off and on again. That sometimes works.

Not sure, Mike. It depends when my sons are up over the Christmas period and I don't get to see them much these days. They both have 'other halves' too so may not go down too well if they are all staying up here. Kev and I have talked about going on previous occasions but it just hasn't happened, so far!

Blow that JT, if they are all 'up here' then there must be spare accomodation 'down there'. Perfect.

If they are not 'up here' then you would surely be welcome to visit them anyway I would have thought. Almost as perfect.

We are childless this year for the first time. Younger one is visiting older one in Oz. Is this my opportunity to do both the Plum Pudding and the Ace fry up I wonder?

My fear is that 'we' may be persuaded to visit friends who will, reportedly, be equally offspringless this year. Unfortunately they are nowhere near Mallory or London.

If the Euro collapses in time it may be cheaper to go to Spain than the Ace

I am afraid Alan and I will not be able to make it this year as we have both run out of holiday and have to work.

It was a hard decision, Bahamas Speed Week Revival or Ace Cafe. Sorry Bahamas won and although it was hard work it was well worth it!!

I hope you all have a good Christmas and New Year.
