With help fom Japanese Samurai to translate these accurate, Link #1 says that there is a rumour that Super GT driver Andrea Caldarelli will drive for Caterham in Japan and Link #2 is that it is either Kobayashi or Merhi to drive in Singapore.

Paddock Talk reporting that rumours suggest that Albers quit because allegedly the promised funds from the new owners haven't appeared.....

Hence the rent a seat strategy, when we were told that the new owners would invest in the team in an attempt to secure a top 10 in the WCC. You don't achieve that by swapping drivers.

Another blast from the F1-periphery past, Roman Rusinov (who tested for Midland at Jerez in December 2005) is the latest driver linked to Caterham. He's apparently been linked to a debut in Sochi, although from his quotes it almost sounds like news to him...

Wow, that is random! Can't say I even remember him, unlike Lotterer. Quickly googled, he seems to have done a reasonably good job in endurance racing, though the car count for those sorts of things tends to be low.

I wonder what Petrov's done to alienate sponsors, you'd think that if Russian companies are after a driver to back then he'd be the obvious choice?

Not really sure what you mean by the car count being low in endurance racing, he's been racing in a competitive class where more entries than not have a chance of a podium finish.

But if this does happen, it really shows how desperate Caterham are. In what world does "decent LMP2 driver" translate into "competent F1 driver"?
