Can someone shed some light on who actually OWNS the TD Civics used by one Motorsport last year?

Have seen it suggested that One actually bought the cars from TD - but I was under the impression they went back to TD at the end of last year - I was actually sure I read that they went back in a TD truck straight from Brands at the end of the season?!

I note that One have said they are spending this year developing the civic - but I guess that could be their ‘old’ car….

Can anyone say for sure who actually owns the TD Civics?

I'd like to know that too. I think we can say the Brands story seems a bit of a long stretch. If leased it's not like One could have sold them or that they could have been nabbed by a bailiff.

In the Autosport article it says that they are continuing with the NBE engines -which the TD cars have been developed around, and in the Touring Car Magazine interview with Cook/Edwards about the One Civic being very different to the TD one in many ways, you'd expect them to want to start with the TD machines to work with those engines. But, if the TD cars are as bad as Cook/Edwards reckoned maybe One have a plan to go in a different direction to TD with the engines/Chassis package.

Hopefully they won't be following TD in how long they are going on sabbatical....

I wonder if they're taking a year out so they can concentrate on developing the new FL5 Civic for next year, either with or without TD? Just a thought

Can anybody elaborate on what BTC/their drivers said they struggled with or didn't like about the Team Dynamics's Civics they were driving last season?

Balance & weight distribution. Didn’t work with their set-ups, plus the extra hybrid weight was causing them to struggle with finding a sweet spot. They couldn’t get the car dialled in as they’d managed with their Civic’s.

There was a not insignificant difference in weight between the TOCA and Neil Brown engines. I forget which was heavier. That doesn't change the overall weight of the car as they just added/removed ballast, but did change the weight distribution so none of the previous set-up data worked.
