Chasing anyone who knows about TOMS GB in 1980's

as per prior posts, I am rebuilding the TOMS/Dowsett Corolla that won its class BTCC 1989. When applying for its historic log book , I have questions to answer like "first race" , "when built". I have had no luck contacting Phil Dowsett who last raced it in UK. Does anyone know anyone who worked for TOMS GB in mid 80's. They built quite a few Corollas & Supras as well as Formula cars, so some of the staff must be lurking somewhere. Any help appreciated, as I've now come to a brick wall with its early history. Whislt I'm in Australia, I 'm happy to phone, email or whatever. Some clues needed please. thanks folk

I think Allan Burrows (NZ) was with them about that time
Maybe some NZ-based member has contact details for him

Glyn Jones should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi, Nick Jordan, who until recently worked as a colleague at Lola Cars was at Toms around that period. Nick is always delighted to reminisce about the old days and has a very keen memory.

I have his contact details but am concerned about placing them in an open forum. How do I help you?

Glyn Jones.

Glyn, you can use our Private Message (PM) service to provide another poster with information which is not for public viewing. Just left click on Terry's name on his post above and a dropdown box will appear with options; the second option gives you 'send a Private mesage to .... '
