My suggestion would be for the ETC Cup organization to co-operate with the organizers of the national championships so that the top teams are obligated to run the race. Take lets say top 3 that gets the travel, tyre, fuel, etc. - costs taken care of and then to top 5 a bit less payed for, etc.

It would be very interesting to see Vauxhall, SEAT UK, Volvo, WestCoast, Flash, DTC teams, etc to battle it out in the ETC Cup.
I think this is the only way to attract top teams. They should also get ETCC live on channels who are broadcasting the major touring car championships like BTCC (ITV), STCC (channel?) and DTC (channel?).

STCC live on SVT, DTC live on Kanal 5.

And yeah, get proper TV coverage of ETC Cup. In late 90s when SVT was broadcasting STCC and BTCC they also aired the Tourists Trophy at Donnington in 96 and 97, and also Bathurst in 97 and 98. So why cant they air ETC Cup too if theres a few top runners from STCC in it?

It's not at all. It's not available on the digital system that most people use (Freeview), only on less used pay-through-the-nose setups like Sky (which is stupidly expensive and funds that idiot Murdoch), cable (which most people can't get anyway) and Top Up TV (It's nigh-on impossible to get a Freeview box with a card slot anyway).

Show it on a free to air broadcaster (such as ITV, even on ITV4 if needed) and it will be much more popular. It's better for all sports in the long run to be free to air.
