Shame that only 3 but at least it's something. They want to contest a full season in 2022. I wonder if there are any other McLaren teams in frame to race in DTM.

Sophia Flörsch will race in Abt as their third driver, quite interesting to see how she fares but great for her to grab such an opportunity. Best of luck to her.

Plans of GetSpeed are slowly materialising. It seems DTM will have their first Indian driver, Arjun Maini, behind whom stands the money of Maini Group. According to Motorsport Total Berger is already working on a TV deal in India.

(little plot twist the "button mclaren" is actually the very first mule chassis built by mclaren for testing 720s, it's a car that barely was able to stay on the road during silverstone british gt race. I won't be surprised if button and RJN withdrawn because mclaren doesn't supply them a new one)

Hmmm, close but not quite it...

The spare chassis you are referring to is the last minute loan car Mclaren gave to Rocket for Buttons one off race at Silverstone last year. It was indeed the test mule but obviously all they had available at the last minute.

Rocket’s main car is their own and was new when they received it. The spare chassis you are referring too is probably back at mclaren already. It’s a test mule after all

Yes, I know rocket has another 720s gt3 they use as main car, it's just I think button retired from dtm because likely mclaren didn't supply him a brand new car for dtm. Anyway it seems it's again up to bmw, mercedes and audi to save the day.

Do we have Porsche? Speed Monkeys Team is the only one which will (potentially) field one Porsche. They admit they'd be the only Porsche team.
I'm disappointed there are no more Ferrari entries. There was a talk about Phoenix possibly fielding Ferraris but I think it's long gone. RacingOne was working on something but it's been silent on this for quite a while.
