HRSTR5 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2013 FIA Lurani programme for Formula Junior

PROVISIONAL programme for FJ FIA Lurani Championship 2013;

Hockenheim, April, Jim Clark Revival meeting.
Pau, Historic GP
Brands Hatch, at the Masters meeting, not the HSCC Superprix we usually attend.
Dijon
Oldtimer GP
Jerez, then one week later
Portimao.

Looks fun! It's just a shame we don't get to go back to Porto, which I loved in 2011 (but was non-championship), but FJ quite good at picking the events they think will get sufficient support to be financially viable without having to subsidise from other events/activities, and they reckon two trips to Portugal in a year is not going to get enough; hard to argue with that.

Programme was put out at the FJ AGM yesterday, it was pointed out that it was still provisional ...

Jerez followed by Portimao! Excellent- thats October sorted..... Hope it all gels together. MRL have also announced two of their grids going to Algarve, so some fun in the sun again. (OK, not so much sun this year but rain can't happen twice running, can it?)

None in Italy? Is this likely to remain a six race event?

Lurani has been over 7 rounds for the 3 years that I've been taking part, programme is always a bit different each year, albeit some rounds reappear more frequently than others. There were 3 "Italian" rounds last year (the round at Red Bull Ring in Austria was organised by the Italians), entries to the Italian meetings do tend to be somewhat more expensive than northern European ones, (and the format is the same at each Lurani round, with 1 x 25 mins qualifying, and two 25 min races), and of course getting to them is more expensive (and time consuming). Duncan and Sarah like to keep it varied, like to keep supporting friendly promoters whereever they can, but are extremely anxious to avoid committing FJHRA to expensive tracktime at any meeting where they might fail to get a viable grid. As at this year's AGM, they sometimes ask for a show of hands to gauge support for certain meetings before committing, as was the case this year with the Iberian rounds in October next.

I for one like the mix, some regular meetings, some different ones each year.

I'd expect to see an Italian round back on the 2014 Lurani programme, all things being equal.
