But I can't really see Turks winning it so this leaves Ingram as the favourite to clinch this year's title.

Sutton is by no means out of the title race. All it takes is a bad race 1 to ruin a whole weekend. Sutton will pick up good points in Race 3 today as well.

but next is Silverstone and Tingram should really do well there while Subarus not unless Uncle Gow gives them more boost

and in either case it requires that BOTH Tingram and Turks have bad weekeneds

That would not be the most unusual thing to happen in BTCC lol. Sutton is a long shot but he's not out of it yet.

First the diamond double, now this... BMR have cost Sutton a lot of points this year.

Though, as a huge Ingram fan, can't say I'm complaining...

still isn't on official news yet, the exclusion

in the past Neal and Shedden were excluded for ride height failure when it was caused by accident damage like a bumper hanging down on one side

there should be no real reason to appeal for BMR whatsoever

Touringcars.net are the only place reporting it, even Speedworks are saying Ingram finished second and their tweet was only a few minutes ago, well after that ‘announcement’

are they just looking for a way to turn a blind eye? last time i remember this, Sheddon lost a victory on ride height and they called it straight away, despite mitigating circumstances of accident damage

Potentially dumb question - why are the Porsche races normally longer than the BTCC rounds?

WOW if that is true either the rollers are faulty or Turkington received a huge dose of luck

It's rare that you get more than one car fail that test. Strange.

The hopless amateurs in Porsches need a safety car start.

I don’t really understand why it requires further investigation, the cars shouldn’t still be being inspected surely? They either failed he ride height test or passed, it’s pretty clear cut is it not?

Not sure how the equipment could be faulty, it’s just a roller of a certain size on a stick!

maybe wrong rollers which are a bit larger diameter then they should be ?

otherwise there is no excuse for failing the test

Dick Bennets has all interest that those 2 failed, it would also mean Jordan won the race and Turks ends up 4th

Yeah no mention on the internet but ITV showed the roller not going under the Subaru live after race 2, and then just before this Porsche race had an interview with Ingram who was waiting outside the scrutineering and had said his car had just been released. Lou Goodman said the scrutineering team are preparing a report which will be passed on to the race stewards for consideration.

On the TV it looked like the scrurineering team were interested in the Subaru jacks as they kept putting the car on the jacks and then dropping it

The engine sits behind the front wheels ( because essentially it’s a 4wd car) so it changes direction quicker because the heaviest component is behind the turning wheels- it’s also why it had better traction out of corners. As for it being an estate it’s almost an advantage when it goes to weight transfer as there is weight transfer to the rear wheels. This is also why BMW prefer the 1 over the 3 series. So it is quite different to the other ( BMW) cars based on the fact it’s performance comes from the attributes it has from the 4wd road car.

im guessing Jordan didnt have this problem, which to me seems to eliminate the roller being the wrong size

I know that the Knockhill race weekend generally has less events because the Renault Clios can't afford the additional cost of a service station sausage roll, but ITVs coverage of this weekend has been truly awful. They're just filling the entire thing with ads instead. Porsches end, so we go to ads. Come back, tell us cars were excluded then an awkward silence as they go straight back to ads.

I know that between them all that Tim Harvey, Louise Goodman and Steve Ryder struggle to muster a single personality, but this is bad even for them.
