A Judd in an F3000?

Is it possible to fit a 4-litre Judd in an F3000 car?

I think there was a British chap who used to run in Euroboss with one. His name escapes me. Post this to the Euroboss thread and someone will help I'm sure.

I don't need to know more than if it's possible. Thanks for answering.

Earl Goddard had a 4ltr KV JUDD V8 in a 1995 reynard F3000 car

I would say u could fit a 4ltr V10 but it would not be a cheap job or a quick one.

Shoehorning a 4 litre V10 in a F3K would be interesting to watch and crazy to drive. Somewhat like the ill-fated Formula Superfund.

Physically, the Judd KV isn't much different in size to the F3000 unit, and is easy to slot in there.

It's when you start thinking about changing the V8 for a V10 (or V12)......

Isn't the Zytec Kv (F3000) unit just a detuned Judd Kv unit?

The Zytec Kv IS the Judd Kv.

John's company ceased production of the engine, and Zytec maintained the 80 or so KV's that were in use in F3000.

The KV was tweaked to become the first A1GP engine, well tweaked isn't quite true, but it did form the basis of the original A1GP engine.
