Alan Morrison, eh? Just wondering, but... what's he ever done? He was in the works-backed Honda for two years, and (like Chilton) did very little with it.

morrison was a damn sight better than chilton last year and morrison was a class b champion.

great races again, shame people keep walloping watson smith hes deserved better results.

in race 2 the pack behind the vauxhalls should have concentrated on catching the vauxhalls instead of battling amongst themselves.

agree that seat mg and honda should try and get 3 cars each out there to really annihlate vauxhall.

Morrison came 5th in the championship last year, Chilton came 9th.

Sorry guys not directly related to the BTCC race but does anyone know the condition of the young Portuguese driver who was involved in the shunt at Druids during the Formula BMW race. I had just moved from there to the Brabham straight opposite pit road when it happened and one of my sons said he looked in a bad way. Thanks.

Thanks Redshoes. It seems young Pedro Da Costa was taken to hospital with concussion and bruising but has now thankfuly been allowed home so that's good.

Alan Morrison has proved nothing.

Of course he's quicker than Tom Chilton - you'd expect that, as Alan has more experience.

I seem to recall that he only just won the 'Class B' title in 2000, as James Kaye (in a much worse car) game him a serious run for his money...

I just can't see Alan as a serious championship contender, or even a regular race-winner.

He seems like one of those content to mill-around in the middle/back of the pack, like Blencowe, Wallace, Butler-Henderson and Hughes.

Before anyone complains, I know these are all nice guys, but they are not in the same league as most of the other drivers. Simple as that.

i disagree with the above you cant put morrison in the same bracket as blencowe! remember rockingham 03? he was just as quick as neal, hes just had some bad luck. His performance so far is comparible to the first few years of drivers that are now champions.

Runnyhunny, I like your thoughts!

I think that Morrison is better than Blencowe and co. when he has a good day. The rest of the time though he is nothing spectacular.

That was a one-off bad start for him. The only other (noticable) time he didn't start well was Rockingham when Matt Neal beat him to the first corner. It wasn't a bad start, just that Matt's was better!

For the rest of them, he got loads of praise from Ben E and Tim H!

Morrison is nowhere near the likes of Neal, Muller, Plato and Reid. OK, so he's probably a step above Blencowe etc., but he's simply not a regular race winner or championship contender.
