Racing Drivers have specific insurance policies other than the normal ones. Of course the premium must be higher! But this is based on their risk exposures, not if he/she has an accident before. Indeed most race organizers required drivers who participate their races must have insurance coverage.

I’m talking about car damage insurance. It’s arranged by the team. Her premium will be loaded for sure!!! She is a higher risk.

Never heard of a race organiser looking for drivers to have compulsory insurance so not sure where you’ve got that from.

FIA-Sanctioned races required promoter to do everything to ensure the circuit, teams and drivers have their insurance coverage respectively. Go to FIA website and study their regulations.

Yes, your talking about the base cover provided by organisers. Not personal cover.

Most teams self-insure their cars, but they will certainly want to look at some cover for her, or just charge her extra.

what is the basis for this? Is she known for having big accidents and routinely destroying cars or is this based on the 1 single incident?

Based on the damage last year, no underwriter is going give her the benefit of the doubt. Especially as she hasn’t raced these cars before. Not the end of the world, but will impact on her costs to compete. Ditto her health insurance etc.

You two gents are talking about two different kinds of insurance policies. Whether it's a usurer's usury or an actuary's actuality, they all sail on the liquid of liquidity.

Yes, the point was that her budget is higher than most because of the insurance costs. But somebody didn’t want to accept that.

Well, we are not 100% sure of that. She crashed once over last time at Macau. There were drivers with more excess claims I am told. The greater the artist, the greater the doubt. Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize.

Presumably there will be a stream for this? No UK TV coverage listed this year.

FIA's websites had online coverage for the past few years, possibly it may continue

Macanese local TV report mentioned the new F3 car with its DRS features, but still don't know if the track have any DRS zones

Why do they do this? Overtaking was perfectly feasible with the previous cars and without DRS. Why they want to add even more speed into that area?

The race weekend ended with a less nasty events except for the multi-bikes pile up at Motor GP and the crash similar to Sophia's crash in 2018 happened at Lisboa again, but in the GT cup race, which Engel eliminates Mortara. The worries to many fans may be relieved that the F3 race finished with not many nasty incidents. But some may feel the race is too short, so the race distance can be extended in 2020. Congrats to MP Motorsport and Richard to achieve the victory at their debut in Macau!

As there was no big crash or drivers injured the number of comments has been disappointing.

i'll be honest, i'd rather see more f3 races than longer ones. turn it into a winter series or something and make the freight costs more worthwhile.

For me, no news is good news. I would prefer drivers finished their race safely, and those DNFs can get out from the cockpit safely.

After a long season, they need a break.

Teams are really settled for their arrangements to race in Macau, so cost are not their main concern.
