David Owen should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The Third GP

OK so the F1 GP was last weekend, and we all know about the MotoGP too.

But who's up for the third British GP held each year and this year in its 31st outing?

Superkarts at Cadwell this weekend deliver speed, thrills and some of the most awesome marshal posts in the UK (OK I'm biased, but deny me if you can).

To add to the excitement and add variety there's a sprint too.

Come on then, don't tell me I'm all by myself (song cue).

16th / 17th July - Cadwell Park - be there (or have a very, very good excuse)

Sorry Dave will be at Donington, but have aready been to the 3rd Grand Prix, The British Speedway Grand Prix at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium back in June. So the Kart Grand Prix is the 4th GP not the 3rd.

Don't worry Dave we'll be at Cadwell supporting a real race meeting. The 3rd British GP.

Well despite the weather's best efforts we managed to finish the first day of the weekend within time. THANK YOU to those Marshals who turned out for us today, apologues for the weather (I didn't say a word) and significant delays. Thank you for sticking with us, you make me proud. See you all tomorrow for better weather (I hope) and a full day of GPs and Sprint.

It just remains for me to thank everyone on behalf of the Organising Clubs - Karts and Sprint, the Clerks and I'm sure competitors, plus myself for everyone who made the weekend a success.

BIG apologies for the weather on Saturday and the delays that brought, and the weather on Sunday that curtailed the top 12 run off from the sprint.

That said there was some good racing which I hope you all enjoyed.

Thank you and hurry back to Cadwell soon.

Thanks

As a driver, can I add my thanks to all of the marshals and helpers who were at the Superkart Grand Prix this weekend. It must have been very frustrating to be stuck at your posts for several hours on Saturday mornign as we waited for the rain to stop. I hope you are getting dried out, and thanks to the marshal at the Hall Bends for cheerfully helping me to drag my kart across the grass after I spun out!

Hopefully we will have better weather next year....

Dean, gravel rash doesn't do it for me, but to put the record straight the MSVR website has always referred to the Superkart GP as the third one.

I'm guessing it is not to do with timing......
