BRSCC Chief Pit Marshal

Just a question.
As Stan has left as the BRSCC chief pit marshal for the Midlands area. Does anyone know who has taken over??

Have you been asked to take over the role then Sheila? Or has it gone to someone else

That sounds a bit secretative. so two questions
1) Is there something we would like to know?
2) why isn't anna on my marshals' database?

Anna. I have been asked to take over from Stan for the BRSCC. I'm not sure why Sheila felt the need to be secretive unless she had something derogatory to say!

It is very sad that Stan has decided to stop marshalling. I am sure we all wish him well in whatever else he decides to do.
My understanding is that the Midland Centre Committee wants someone who will commit to all Midland Centre meetings.

I agree that it is sad that someone with Stan's experience has retired from BRSCC. However, he has not stopped marshalling completely. He has told me that he will do odd meetings and said he may even do assembly!!

Your understanding of what the Midlands Centre Committee want is absolutely correct, which is why I completely re-arranged my year's marshalling last December when John Sadler told me that I was to be Stan's replacement.

However, due to a slight hiccup in communications between John and the rest of the Committee (John went on holiday before he told them that I was taking over). The Committee were then unaware that a new Chief had been appointed and so placed their "ad" in the newsletter, to which Melanie replied and they then appointed her.

I did not mean to be secretative in my post above, just merely wishing to keep quiet for fear that any comments I made could be misconstrued.

I would like to take the opportunity of congratulating Mel on her appointment and I am sure that she will be just as excellent a Chief for BRSCC as she has been with AMOC.

I suppose I am Prejudiced, As Melanie is my Daughter , but I have had a great working relationship with Shiela over the past three years, So I will still be being bossed about by a woman, But in Melanies case if i misbehave she will tell her Mom, Then I will be in REAL Trouble

Quite right too - someone has to keep you under control and see that you behave yourself

crumpIT welcome to Ten-Tenths.

One of the golden rules of all forums is that we don't resort to making comments about other people who are not in a position to answer for themselves. Whatever Stans reasons were for leaving the BRSCC Midlands Centre are his and his alone. Please lets not enter into any discussions that could cause either embarrassment or result in legal action agsinst Ten-Tenths.

Lastly, welcome to all the new members above. Great to see new people in the forum and please enjoy your time here
