Campos Hull announced as Prema's 2nd driver

Obviously quite a coup for the championship to have another Euroseries driver in the grid after Piscopo and Dillman last year. I do believe that Dillmann will return with Ghinzani and I do also believe that there will be many more non Italian drivers on the grid. Looks exciting!

So what is the current entry list looking to be?

That's interesting news META4. This tends to suggest that there may not be any Telmex involvement in WSR any longer, unless Duran continues.

Or unless Sanchez Lopez is not supported by Telmex anymore... anyway Interwetten will not be at the WSR test so it must explain something

I thought Alex Brundle was doing F2? Is this year's field looking competitive? All I know is that Francesco Castellacci raced in British F3 with ADR and he never managed a top 15 finished, despite running in the International class. Yet he is here topping Italian F3 tests...

that's one way to see things, another way is to say that Campos was beaten despite his F3ES and Macau experience so the level can't be that bad

He is 21 yrs old, vice champion in F.Azzurra last year in his rookie season, notably without any testing in Italian circuits and with a new to the series one car team. Before his debut in single seaters he was racing karts, mainly in Italy and European/World championships, with lots of sucess.

Anyway, both Stefanos and BMW Junior Giorgos Katsinis are our country's best hope at having representation at a reasonable level. This is a very crucial year for both, moreso for Stefanos because of his age, but I am hopeful they will do us proud. Let's see.

Ferrari prize test for the best 3 drivers to be repeated in 2009. Not that there was much doubt about it but it still is very good that Ferrari confirmed it well in advance.

Also some teams tested at Adria yesterday, surprisingly Piscopo turned up for Ghinzani. It looks like the team has only Cicognani signed and it wanted an experienced hand to lead development as this was their first test with the '09 aero package. I wonder though who will lead them in the season, obviously it will be best for Edoardo to progress but I would suspect that he is struggling for the budget to do that. There is another testday on Adria on the 29th and many teams skipped this test which meant that a few cars turned out. There was rain in the morning that resulted in the track being a good bit slower than in the previous test there. Anyway, Stefanos was 2nd quickest, beaten only on new rubber on the last five minutes of the day. Last but not least, Alan turned up with one of their brand new Mygales, shared by their two drivers (which is why Comi was so slow, he only tested in the morning).

1 - Edoardo Piscopo (Dallara-Fiat) - Ghinzani - 1'11"680
2 - Stefanos Kamitsakis (Dallara-Fiat) - RC Motorsport - 1'12"016
3 - Alessandro Cicognani (Dallara-Fiat) - Ghinzani - 1'12"340
4 - Pablo Sanchez (Mygale-Fiat) - Alan - 1'12"340
5 - Kevin Ceccon (Dallara-Fiat) - RP Motorsport - 1'12"772
6 - Angelo Comi (Mygale-Fiat) - Alan - 1'13"680

A dream debut for Stefanos Very, very competitive start of the season, at least six drivers look like potential race (and title) winners, probably also Cicatelli who had a bit of nightmare meeting but should recover.
