Bowser should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Carlin & Capsicum Motorsport Limited

I was reading the article on there site about the restructuring of the business. would i be right in guessing (by reading between the lines) that they've been in trouble and had to seek outside investment to continue..

OR

Is it a case of Chilton Daddy buying into a team with the vision to take it into F1 for Chilton Jnr to have a drive.

Thoughts?

I have no idea, but it surprises me that of all teams Carlin felt they needed such investment. I'd have thought that with their reputation, finances would be healthy - attracting drivers with full budgets never seems a problem, not to mention the Red Bull juniors placed there.

Never hurts to 'pepper' a team with new finances, I guess.

I suspect they aim for GP2, Durango are having some problems. May be one year for young Max to learn the tracks in GP3, while the GP2 team learns the car, then 2011 they will attack GP2 with Max.

Carlin have had rumored finacial problem during the last 2 seasons. Not all drivers have paid full budgets some have pulled out early and successfully sued. Red Bull normally pays less than full budgets. I think the reinvestment was neccessary. All is not always as it seems, and even when you are successsful this is still a hard business to make money in.

I undertand that at least one trade supplier has been forced to use balifs to recover monies due. That will obviously affect the credit rating on the business and it's ability to raise finance.

Carlin quit the Euro Series

Not really that surprising considering their recent form and their move into GP3. Shame it didn't work out but I guess that's the way it goes. It'll be interesting to see where Red Bull take their backing in the Euro Series now - presumably Signature will get a bigger slice of the pie, or maybe they'll just move the allocation to GP3 instead

Imo it would make no sense to invest in a championship with less than 20 cars.

In france SG Formula is not sure of their partcipation in F3 ES because of the loss of the support from TDP.

Since when has the Euroseries had less than 20 cars?

HBR should not stay in F3 ES.

It's going to be a very dirty winter for the championship.

Still though there are rumors that some teams in GP3 are struggling too. Maybe 2010 will be a weak season for both and from 2011 we will see a clearer picture.

Mark Webber is having a run in a GP3 car next week to help promote formula and the team is going to run with Arden. I'm interested to see just how quick it is.
