Hamilton. Made the move when it mattered. Had an answer for every question today.
Honourable mention to Danny and Alex |

Ricciardo did nothing wrong all day, so him.
A lot of excellent drives in challenging circumstances. |

Danny Ric or Albon but I think Albon. That first podium had been coming and he finally got it.

Hamilton for me. The ease with which he disposed of Bottas must have been soul-destroying for the Finn. Kudos to Ricciardo and Albon.

Voted Albon. Kudos to Hamilton and Ricciardo.
Feel sorry for Stroll. |

Albon. Dodgy starts aside he was consistent and relentless in his pursuit of Checo, Stroll and Ricciardo. He pulls some stonking overtakes. Seems to.just have the instinct for it.
Stroll drove bloody well but maybe he pushed to hard to keep Albon back which killed his tyres? |

Ricciardo drove very well and kept out of trouble. He was unlucky and probably just missed out on a podium because of the last red flag.

Ricciardo from Albon.
I have just about given up trying to assess Mercedes drivers against the others. They have such a technical advantage they are basically driving in a different category. |

A racing driver's job is to win the race so my default position is to look to the winner, unless someone else does something really special. No-one else really covered themselves in glory (though a few covered themselves in gravel ) so I give it to Lewis Hamilton.
Honourable mention goes to the "Thai driver" (half-Thai, half-English, brought up in England, educated in England, cut his racing teeth in England) for his first podium. His qualifying still needs some work but his racing is top-notch. I like him. |
