Porsche Festival

Anyone else going to the Porsche festival at Brands Hatch?

I'm told theres going to be a demonstration of 917's and there should be a few 962's there too.

Anyone have anymore information?

I was at Brands last weekend for the Touring Cars and there was a Porsche Carrera GT was doing some demonstration laps and they said that it would be back this weekend.

Three 917s are expected plus 906, 908, 910, 935, 936, 956, 959, 962,1988 LeMans winning GT1, GT2, RS60 Spyder, 1974 Carrera RSR Turbo, 356A, 356B Carrera GT etc. Of course the 911 will be there in various guises, 2.7 RS, 2.8 RSR, IMSA 3.2 Carrera, 964 cup, 993 cup, 996 cup etc.The Carrera GT is down as the pace car.

Sunday starts at 07.30 with a world record attempt for the most Porsche cars on track at one time. Race qualifying gets underway at 10.00 with racing at 14.00.

Monday includes a tribute to 30 years of the turbo Porsches followed by a LeMans demonstration.

Hmm.

Any 935 but preferably a Martini. You can keep the rest. Gawd those Kremer Brothers were smart.
