Really? He's got an FPR car with a DJR badge and FPR engineering/data/coaching... Certainly it's a good day if he's beating Reynolds and A.Davo.

The real rookie star IMO is McLachlan in a team with a lot less resources than FPR. And he's a year younger, just turned 20.

2 place grid penalty

If this is true then that penalty is so weak.

Traditionally this is a drive through penalty, or at least a point penalty.

Consistency is all i ask

It should be a 10 place one ala F1 to make ir meaningful, to change the behaviour of the pilot for next time

Is there a standard penalty list for this sort of thing, or is it made up on the fly?

Shouldnt Mr Kelly have gotten 2x25 point penalties? Why did they ignore the hit on Mr Wall? That could have been seriously bad had the #21 found a fence or marshalls post to hit.. that he didnt shouldnt mean it was ignored by the powers that be...

But the DJR car still runs an InnoV8 engine, which isnt FPR spec, and the car is still prepared at Stapylton regardless of the FPR involvement...

fine line between rubbing and taking out your opponent.

two out of the last 3 weekends, (Darwin and QR) Lowndes has done the same bone head move on his championship opponents. Both times he has got a penalty less than the damage he has inflicted.

Meantime, in the first qualifying session of the day... the front row is the same as yesterday... but... guess who the best Ford was?

None of the FPR cars... it was #12... in 4th!
