It's definately not impossible but due to Schumacher's form i can't see anything but a Ferrari win.

Most unlikely.
MS to win, if not, JPM or RB |

He can win it, for sure. I expect Renault will be the 1st team to beat Schumy. Monaco is the perfect place to do it.

If I had to pick someone to win this weekend and it wasn't TGF, I think the most likely candidates would be:
1. Trulli 2. Montoya 3. Alonso And maybe Coulthard as an extremely dark horse... |

Despiote being a very difficult track, particular conditions may allow anyone to win. Of course it's true that given MS' form, just an accident can prevent That German Flyer from winning. Last edited by climb; 20 May 2004 at 14:08. |

Monaco is the circuit that is most likely to throw up an unexpected result. Looking at Michael's pace in practice it won't be easy, but I reckon Trulli is due a win sooner or later, and he has as good a chance as most.

Trulli may get pole, may even lead a few laps, but he drop off somewhere down the race, as normal!

It's all down to tactics really. Pole position is mighty important, but so is a relatively long first stint.

The last time a driver won from pole position in Monaco was way back in 1998 with Hakkinen. Perhaps pole is jinxed in Monaco |

I've always avoided making predictions on races...as it always seemed bad luck to do so (in our own family kart team that is) But..I reckon a B.A.R win is on the cards.

My thoughts exactly....a Button win!
*prepares for another tedious torrent of abuse relating to one poor prediction for the Spanish GP* |

Trulli has always seemed to be quite quick at Monaco, and the Renault seems well suited to the circuit. His form over a race distance seems to be much better this season as well.
If he were able to beat the Ferrari's it would certainly have to be the drive of his life though. If everything falls inot place I thionk he can do it. Here's hoping. |

I'd say he's got a reasonable chance. The Rneault should be good around such a tight track,a nd on current form Jarno looks better placed to win, especially as qualifying is so important. Remember that he was perhaps the moral victor in 2000, in a Jordan. Although I expect Michael to win, I think Jarno has a good chance of second, which could become a win under miracle circumstances.

His reputation as a Monaco specialist is deserved - he is usually very fast and tidy around there. Unusually the bookmakeers have Alonso and Trulli at similar odds for this race - I've got Alonso on an each-way bet all the same... I just think he is more likely to graft and fight for the whole race than Jarno. I agree that the Renault should go well though.

Even if it is a ferrari or BAR front row...given the very quick starts of the Renaults i wouldn't rule it out. If a Renault starts on the 2nd row (maybe 3rd row too)...look out. If both of them start out there...really look out.
It'll be down to qualifying |

Trulli is a good driver but is much too inconsistent. We see him do a great job in qualliy all the time, but alonso just makes him look average in the race. Alonso always is right behind him in a race. He was pressurising him in spain at the end.
It was the same at jordan and prost for trulli. Qualify well, slide back in the race. I cannot see him keeping his seat at renault in 2005. He dosnt deserve it. |

As long as Alonso is finishing behind Trulli (no matter how close it is...), saying Trulli doesn't deserve to be at Renault and Alonso does is poor logic.
Sure, Alonso appears to be a bit faster at times in the races, and has definitely made more passes, but that is due to the fact that he HAD TO because he qualifyied further down the grid behind slower cars! Last year, Alonso clearly had Trulli beat most weekends, but this year seems to be fairly even. Anyway, to knock Trulli for being inconsistent, and then holding up Alonso as an example of consistent just doesn't make sense to me. |

Trulli gets hit at the start of nearly every race but maybe starting at the front he can leave this habit behind.
Schumacher will win though, more fuel on I reckon, and he'll pump out some Mother laps when the others are in the pits and nip in front by the end of the race. |
