Indeed - it's a short lap by F1 standards but even so to be getting that close to cars that are 10 years newer is impressive. It'd be interesting to know how the Avon tyres compare with the Pirellis (I assume the BOSS cars are all on Avons) - Avon will be able to go for the best compound / structure as they don't have the same design brief as Pirelli (make the tyres degrade) so are the Avons a quicker tyre?

Indeed, all the Boss cars use Avon tyres. The compound used is the A11 (which is not a specific compound for Boss GP). It's a quite soft compound, but designed for "circuit race" (the compounds for hillclimb are far more softer). Hard to say how it is compare to the Pirelli.

That is an impressive list of cars. Boss has really made the most from the GP2 and WSR era, 23 cars in formula is more then most racing classes have. The open class is like a bonus :-)

I do wonder why we wont see more autogp cars in the field, should be a bunch available. Or do the gp2/wsr cars make more sense financially?

Race 1 was red flagged due to a massive thunderstorm. Big crash in the first lap of the second race. After the restart, beautiful fight for the lead between van Eerd, Brenier and Von Grünigen.

The Monza crash has left wounds...
The Benettons of Herndlhofer and Jordan were involved and I guess still in repair.
The Super Aguri has some engine issues.

Despite that, I think the grid is quite good with the Jaguar, the Toro Rosso and the Minardi plus 20 'Formula Class' cars

It's pity that Zwart is not able to come in order to compete with Gerstl, but the fight for the Open podium should be interesting with Van Eerd, Herndlhofer and the former F1 driver Tarso Marques who will drive Van Eerd's Benetton.

He has the cash and is the best Argentinian driver that could be in this series.
