Is anyone planning to record part/all of the race onto DVD?

I've got 2 discs reserved for Le Mans recording. Gonna record up to the first ad break after the start (unless they don't have one after 30 mins or so), then a long five hour stint from around 9pm-2am UK time.

Yup. At least an year ago the same url address worked only for some undefined amount of time (obviously some kind of IP detection or something, has to be), so you probably still need to log in to the Player site many times to get a renewed address e.g. when you need to change channel.
This is the good part of Windows Media streams, Flash would provide better quality but usually no luck with external players. Last edited by deggis; 6 Jun 2010 at 22:28. |

Wishing I could load it to the laptop, desktop video card died last year and too cheap to replace it. Have recorded and kept most of the hours on Speed on the DVR for a lot of the year but have to move the week after LM so no replays for me. Now I just have to get the boss to switch the schedule back, ******* redid it and now I'm supposed to work LM weekend, even though it's the only time I ever take off all year. Never thought I'd wish I had an iPhone but streaming RLM if I had to work would be sweet.

I gonna tape the whole thing again, starting tonight with the 30 min live show. I really wonder if i am going to hit the 90 gb from 2007 when motorstv showed everything from scrutineering over qualifyin, drivers parade, sat morning , race and pre and post race coverage

Is Eurosport 1 and 2 on 'Freesat' ? or is it only on pay per view SKY? or can you in some way pay to view via 'Freeview' on that channel extension system ?

No Eurosport on the list of channels on the FreeSat web site.
http://www.freesat.co.uk/index.php?p...fa9mnv94t0tpa2 You could always get Eurosport player for £3.99 for a month http://video.eurosport.co.uk/eurospo...tner=yah_co.uk |

Eurosport 1 is free to air on Astra 1 at 19.2° east satelite in both digital anand analogue modes. That and sound muted for RLM is a pretty good alternative

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but it appears that Sky/Eurosport have got their act together and you can now series link the coverage across both ES and ES2 rather than having to record each individual segment.
Now....if Eurosport actually keep to their schedule and we don't record four hours of beach volleyball I'll be really impressed |

I must admit, I am slightly (only slightly) concerned about the few (albeit short in the scheme of things) gaps in Eurosport's coverage (eg. 11-11.30pm). Wonder if they will go overtime on whatever channel they're broadcasting on at the time?

I have to go to a wedding on Saturday so will have to miss a whole lot of Speed's live coverage. Time to get a SlingBox I guess. At least I will DVR all the live stuff and watch it later.

Damn I need to be the boss, looks like the chamged schedule is going to kill one of the best sports saturdays of all time. How could any weekend be better than LM, F1 qually at a great track, World Cup opener and Red Sox game. Had 3 tvs ready and now have to work 7-6.

Looks like it might be a site with video interviews and maybe highlight clips. Still a good site for things Speed might miss on track and other driver/team interviews.

So for the Oz viewers on One HD;
Race start 3:00pm France, we on EST are 8 hours in front (i think?), so race start for us is 11:00pm EST, coverage start EST 10:45pm, so we only get 15 minutes of pre-show. Coverage stops at 2:30am so we see the first three & half hours of the race. If coverage resumes 8:00am then that's midnight in Le Mans, so this would be just a highlights show for 2 hours for those that didn't want to stay up the night before. The major coverage is on the Sunday from 1:00pm EST being 5:00am Le Mans, through to 11:30pm EST being 3:30pm Le Mans being the last ten & half hours of racing coverage until the end of the race including ceremonies. Wow, that's great for Oz, I'd better book the TV and send the missus and kids somewhere for the day. Better than my usual 2 hour DVD for my birthday months after the race, wonder what the missus will buy me this year??? |
