[VASCR19R20] Coates Hire Ipswich SuperSprint, Queensland Raceway 20-22 July

The last of the two home tracks for Supercar teams (which are Triple Eight, Tekno, DJR Team Penske and Matt Stone Racing) with the Championship turning laps at the famous "Paperclip". Obviously DJR and Triple Eight will be very strong here. Very few surprises here with the exception that Tickford in the past have been rather strong a few times, could they turn their fortunes around and score at least a decent finish?

Also too, yours truly will be at the event so if you're at the track, send me a PM if you want to see the face behind Ten Tenths official Star Trek fan. (If I'm not on the spanners helping out mates)

Damn, I really don't think anybody would have complained had he stopped with this kind of injury.

Certainly showing the work ethic we've all seen him use to get to where he is.

Can we hope for a really strong enduro showing?

Car still a question mark?

I don’t mind a livery change every five minutes if it means someone is sponsoring the car for the weekend.

I understand that, clever marketing cus every website and or TV show covers a livery change. Im just a bit bored of it to be honest.

For right or wrong, I always think 'not competitive enough to attract a fulltime sponsor' when I see teams doing it (even felt that when DJR Team Penske were doing it)

No one wants to commit to Nick, pretty simple.

Is it his attitude?

And yet he’s still got a seat in the series. He’s got to be doing something right to maintain that

Should Supercars (or any other sporting organisation) run politically motivated advertising?

I'm not surprised. This is probably the most annoying guy in the field.

Pretty uneventful race weekend. But the usual winners come through to the top.

Letting blokes pass you by putting a blinker on is an interesting phenomenon. In tennis that's called tanking.

Lots of questions surrounding prodrive right now, but another one up for discussion may be how long Monster Energy will hang in there running mid field at best while their biggest competitor is winning races and titles.

I don't get why Fabian allowed his team-mates' main championship rival through so easily and giving him the go-ahead with the blinker. You don't have to make it unfairly difficult but don't just pull over
