Edwards - MotoGP or WSBK in 2003?

Reports coming out of Europe recently, some conflicting, are pulling Colin Edwards in a number of different directions.

It has been rumoured, and basically been recorded as fact, that Colin Edwards has signed with Ducati for 2003 to ride in the WSBK.

However, this may not be the case. It has come to light recently that Ducati may put Colin Edwards on a factory/satellite machine in the MotoGP, as that was the reason Edwards left Honda - he was not given a MotoGP ride (what really p*ssed him off was Nicky Hayden getting the MotoGP ride instead.)

I would be delighted to see Edwards on a Ducati MotoGP machine, although it would mean another lost name for the WSBK

and so it should! Why choose Hayden over Edwards?? its madness.

Here is a question!
What are Yamaha doing to get Edwards to join them?
Checa does need a teammate!!

Nah, edwards has signed for Ducati and he'll be in the WSBK next year. The series needs him after so many riders have gone to motogp.

Parkes - Good and bad in a way, i had heard that he had signed to be Lavilla's team mate on the Corona Suzuki's in WSB next year.

Edwards - He is in quite a bind.

On the one hand, Honda told him after he won the 8 hours that he would get a MotoGP ride on a Honda and they were pulling out on WSB. He then signs a letter of intent for Ducati, only for Honda now to say they will probably be in WSB and offer him a MotoGP ride. Why should he stay when he is treated like that? Then again, this may be his only MotoGP chance.

Yamaha - Undecided on this, the bike is not all that great, but it is certainly not a bad bike, not a Honda, but not a Suzuki, somewhere in the middle.

I was thinking about him staying or going from WSB. Maybe if he did leave it would be better for WSB. He and Bayliss were clealy the class of the field this year, and whether he rides a Honda or Ducati next year, would most likely come away champion. If he doesn't return, it would leave the championship wide open and we could be in for a very close championship.

intersting to note that out of the 8 factory honda 600's in 2003, 4 of them will be ridden by aussies....

ten kate - vermuelen/muggeridge
bkm - parkes
opcm (or whatever) - kev curtain (goodbye radar's team yamaha )
