There was one Ferrari in the race, now there are none. Big hit for the 488, safety car.

Edit - Nitta has been taken to hospital immediately. Hopefully he will have escaped with minor injuries at worst.

*About GT500 car
GT500 is positioned as a Class 1.
We would like to continue regulations integration with ITR.
This time we tried to reduce downforce 25% by updating monocoque and revised aero.
This reduces the cornering speed, but on the other hand, it reduces drag and makes the straight faster.
We would like to continue evolving in this direction.

*About GT300 car
Saitama toyopet is struggling with shorten wheelbase Mark-X.
We will protect the basic principle that privateers learn technically and challenge manufacturer's GT3 by developing JAF-GT car.

*About Suzuka round
We'd like to decide directionality of Suzuka round till Fuji round in May.

Well it was an entertaining race, even if it was a little chaotic...hope the Hondas can sort out whatever the electrical gremlin is though

I think ss_collins secretly wishes he could win a hexagon too

MUGEN's trouble cause in Qualifying session was engine sensor.
Today's trouble symptom of NSXs is also similar to this.

I'd say that this is the year Lexus will dominate for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, it's a memorable win for Goodsmile Racing's Hatsune Miku AMG GT in GT300 as the Vocaloid mascot celebrates her 10 years of providing vocals for some of the songs.

Now then, regarding the Suzuka round. It's either SRO put them back to the 10-hour race or GTA giving the top class a substitute round.

According to Car Watch report,
the problematic parts (Car Watch says "electric components") has been used continuously since 2014.
And it had been replaced with a new parts before the race.

Caught up to race after watching the IMSA Long Beach wreckfest...
In GT500 it looks like Nissan has a lot to do to catch up to Lexus, while Honda need to find a way to make the start first of all (it was totally embarassing to watch 3 cars out even before the green flag fell).

Hi there it's no tire change strategy is legal in GT300 for this season???? If yes, then why (#25) Vivac 86 does not used this strategy for opening round????

ARTA BMW used no tire strategy to gain 5th position for this opening round.

I'm going to do my race analysis for Okayama and have it up some time this week. I can't buy that Yanagida has suddenly lost all that pace in one off-season at 38...

obviously that's not only him but whole car was out pace during race because of a contact in Warm-up session .

Hisashi Wada is the first driver in five years to be banned for one race for violations of the Driving Moral Hazard System. Earned 2 more points for his red flag overtakes in Q1 last weekend.

Along with the well-documented driver changes at au TOM's (Ito) and WedsSport (Yamashita), here's the rest of the driver changes:
  • Tsubasa Kondo in the VivaC 86 to replace K. Yamashita
  • Hideto Yasuoka replaces the suspended WADA-Q in the R'Qs SLS
  • Yuya Motojima (Shop Channel Lambo) and Tsubasa Takahashi (ManePa Lambo) are the third drivers at JLOC, with Takahashi making his series debut
  • Takayuki Hiranuma back in the GreenBrave Mark X
  • Junichiro Yamashita (Team Mach), Taiyo Iida (Dijon Racing), Masayuki Ueda (Rn-Sports), Atsushi Tanaka (Tomei Sports) also named 3rd drivers
  • INGING/Arnage Ferrari repaired and ready to race
