GAZ do Cortina strut conversions with a fixed platform welded on, and the original as well. I run a recast standard top mount. simple.

I'm sure a more expensive option is available if you think it'll make you go faster.

The RAF have probably got a few spare now, so spares should not be too much of a problem. I just didn't realise that there was a jet engine class in historic racing yet. SiFrowen, should be able to help you navigate your way round track!

Looking forward to seeing you, and the Alfa 75, on track again. A picture please. I always liked the 75 V6 (I'm very odd, I know).

Adjustable dampers yes, Armstrong did them back in the day, one knob, hard and soft, but not 4 way super trick ones as have been seen, allegedly.

As someone mentioned to me, there are 50 year old saloon cars running around with more sophisticated suspension set ups than are allowed in 70's F1 cars.

Thanks. I think decision has been made, as I have several pairs of 2.25" springs up to 600lbs from when setting up Canary! Most of the Ford front strut casings you can buy from specialists now are from Ian Rix Engineering, and as he is a long standing Sporting Car Club of Norfolk member, plus not that far away, I'll get the necessary bits from him.

As has been said, after helping build a (legal) Escort for the Mexico Challenge for a top driver of the day he was well off the pace in his first race, but a quick talk to a couple of the builders of the front runners (after a few pints) we found all the answers.
Not only the front struts with bendix springs but we also noticed the rear suspension looked a bit on the "low side" as well, so after loading up the boot for a couple of weeks with about a couple of ton of old engines etc it won the next time out and before Tim chimes in, yes the weight was removed for the race !

Is that front absolutely compliant?
Ron Simmons of RSR Nurburg fame , possibly has one of the largest collections of 75s in the EU.Not all as nice as the one pictured though Richard.

This one allegedly has a fair amount of RSR magic sprinkled over its suspension - although after my first laps in it I may be claiming that its totally standard

Acquired a standard centre box today courtesy of Ebay in an attempt to get its aural output somewhere near what I'd regard as likely to pass a noise test......

My winter project is to hang a door I bought for the back of my garage, the problem is that it weighs 50kg and I can't lift it and as I'm Timmy no mates I'm a bit stumped at the moment.
