SuperLeague Formula 2008 - Round 3 Zolder [04/05 October]
Mods, as this is a current weekend is there any chance of stickyage?
Live streaming on their website plus Setanta Sports 2 (I think). Click here for stream (I think it's showing a looping video when it's not being used. Region locking may or may not work. One "substitution" : Instead of Andy Zuber, WSR man and local driver Bertrant Baguette will be driving for Al Ain. These times are UK times, the times on the site are UTC. SATURDAY 12:00 - Qualifying programme should start 12:10 - Qualifying starts SUNDAY 9:40 - Race one starts (programme starts at 9:30) 12:40 - Race two starts (programme starts at 12:30) |

Broken stream here. Not saying it's geolocation so I can't imagine it's that.

Utterly useless - is it a photostream or video?

Sorry, the 'new and improved' A1GP may be struggling to get up to speed, but it still makes this lot look like amateurs.

A little off topic.....
But, the series is called Superleague Formula. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but is Superleague not actually Rugby League?! http://www.superleague.co.uk/ Whoever came up with this concept need shooting, it is truly dire. |

Oh, my god, there were spectators in the grandstand. Not many, but it was a shock to see.

I was there and quite enjoyed it - there was a reasonable crowd too, largely from Holland.
The second race was actually pretty awesome, although had trouble following the flemish commentary. More support races would have been nice (euroboss was the only one - and even that wasn't on until after both main races ), but otherwise all pretty entertaining. |

Kasper Andersen told, that the powerplant in his car had nowhere near 750 BHP. It just got softer and softer, through the race..
They must do better.. |

Yeah, but there was an argument after quali on whether the team was responsible for this or there was something wrong with the said engine. The engine was not changed though as the team though a down on power engine could be better in the wet Apart from that a brake disc failed in race 1 not long before the throttle stuck which led to Kasper spining. I do not know if it is the team or the general reliability level of the series but it is getting a bit frustrating for Olympiacos.

I also thought it was pretty dumb to chose to go to Zolder on the the same weekend as A1GP was at Zandvoort. They both seem to have had pretty bad weather.
Thanks to autosport.com, here are the results of the two races set out in a way that at least I can understand. Race One: Code:

I went to Zolder having, for various reasons, to miss Donington and Germany. The cars are good to watch and lacking only some reliability. The 'crowd' as such wasn't great but better than I expected having seen the comments after the first two rounds. Perhaps the answer is more marketing of the concept as there had been some publicity on behalf of Anderlecht before the weekend and there were also plenty of Eindhoven fans there. Even though I have some interest in football I don't think that generally soccer fans have much interest in motor racing, so I think it will be a struggle to get the concept to a high interest level until it starts to become something motorsport fans get into. However, I can't see why some of the posters on this site are wanting to see the series fail. Some of the drivers have talent with the likes of Doornbos and Pizzonia mixing it with the young, upcoming stars of tomorrow. First timer, Meijer, was consistently fast in bad conditions and Craig Dolby impresses more and more - three second places and three mechanical failures in 6 races.
