Qatar race 2 was cancelled for scheduling issues.
There was a crash at the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East, and the barrier repair took too long. Knowing the FIA boss, it's not surprise that it's the women who got kicked out. |

I appreciate this might be positioned within his previous sexist remarks, but without that understood context, or if you aren’t aware of his historic remarks, you might be perceived as perpetuating dangerous stereotypes with that one. Above comment makes the realistic point that it was beyond anyone’s control.

Ben Sulayem's historic remarks are contradictory.

Whilst it is true that MBS remarks are questionable (I'm being diplomatic), they don't change space or time. they just couldn't fit that event in, sadly.

Whats the deal with funding of these drives? I was under the impression that it was mostly funded by F1/F1 teams. However when the 2025 calendar was announced there was quite a lot of talk on social media about how many fly away races there were and how it pushes the budget up for the drivers?

I believe that the budgets are subsidised by F1/F1 teams, I think I heard that the drivers needed to bring around 100-150k this season. (Correct me if I'm wrong anybody, can't find a source!)

I feel sorry for Abbi as the prize is basically a British club racing series. Surely that will feel like a step back from racing on a World stage?

Possibly, but the risk of throwing them into F3 is that you kill the career before it starts. In reality there's National F3 then Regional F3 before FIA F3.

If that's the case, has the Academy really done its job?

Yes. Its job won't be completed in just 2 years of existing. It's decades of work on this. It's gotten women onto the world stage and online coverage with F1 level production. To expect someone to go from F1A, skip national F3 and regional F3 to get to FIA F3 is unrealistic.
That's like going from British F4 to FIA F3. There's steps in between. |

I enjoyed the racing in Abu Dhabi. The track seemed to suit F4 cars and for once Abbi had some competition.
Looking forward to next year. |

Overall it was a great season. Remembering that Season 1 was not televised well, did not support F1, and had an odd calendar.
This years TV coverage was excellent. It went with F1, thus becoming part of the ladder more. It was generally, excellent. Something the series should do for the future is somehow televised the gap between F1A and F3. There are National and Regional F3 series in that gap. So now Pulling goes off into GB3 - which has excellent YouTube coverage - but those watching on F1TV may not be aware of it. They should follow their winners to keep continuity until they get to F3. |

going back to the Losail fiasco this was not the first time that F1acadamy had been deaayed by Porsches suggest that these ugly fat beasts are banned from F1 events WEC would be more appropriate? Nex season looks more promising with Las Vegas replacing Losail
