If it’s a rookie they must’ve bid more than Bobby T or Senna Proctor. Both of those would’ve been excellent choices for PMR in my opinion. But PMR could perhaps hold out for a big price...

According to the website ( http://www.speedworksmotorsport.co.u...k#.YDzhBtynyM8 ) this is only a preliminary livery, and the full livery will be displayed at some point prior to the media day.

I would imagine the design will be the same - it will just have additional sponsors on.

Maybe just a coincidence but Mike Bushell has started posting loads of BTCC stuff all over his social media. Outside bet for PMR as he was quick when in the car last year.

Funnily enough Senna Proctor's just stuck a couple photos of the Astra up on his Twitter too.

I still think Proctor to PMR. He’s suddenly started Tweeting again. Positive tones, hints about BTCC and a picture of his PMR Astra in action...

So much for Dan being confirmed!! I wonder if more funding is needed?

Cammish out at Dynamics and very much sounds like out of the BTCC entirely for this year. Matt Neal's presence also seems to uncertain, with the first driver to be announced on Friday and then the second "over the coming weeks."
I swear everytime a multi-year deal is announced (which is extremely rare in this series) it always ends up with the party in question out after the first year. Reading between the lines I also wonder if we'll be seeing even token Honda backing this season and/or if Halfords are continuing. Given the current commercial realities, it wouldn't surprise me if neither are and we see a more 2009-style Dynamics team with at least one seat taken by a wealthy but lacking in talent driver. That is a shock, as always his place was dependant on funding.
So it’d suggest Dynamics needed to find a better funded driver - maybe previously they have been able cover the shortfall. I wonder if he’s been sacrificed to keep Matt in a drive. |

I had an inkling about Dan not continuing months ago, and I'm very sad that has turned out to be the case. I genuinely believe Dan is good enough to win the championship - he came very close only to be denied due to dodgy brakes.
Honda are gone, that has been obvious for a long time. Swindon is in wind down, and I genuinely do not see Honda as a viable car seller in Europe in the near future - if they exist in 10 years I would be surprised. Looks like the Rowbo talk may turn out true, or at least has a possibility of turning out true. I hope this is the case, I think he has the talent to succeed. |

Suddenly a lot of uncertainty at one of the BTCC most stable teams. Few teams have the level of consistency they've achieved over more-or-less the last twenty years now. |

I suspect the Honda funds have finally dried up - for now at least. It's often been debated how much Honda puts in in recent years, but it's still something - in particular, a wage packet for Cammish.
In a year when it will be closing Swindon and with it 3,500 jobs (plus all the ancillary UK logistics/parts supplier contracts) I don't think it's good optics to support a race team. Brawn GP was born out of Honda making business cuts during a downturn last time. |

What a shame! We are now down to three title contenders in 2021: Sutton, Turkington and Butcher. I really can't see anyone else getting close, as clearly Cammish is going to be replaced by someone with funding, rather than someone who could win a championship. Jake Hill, Tom Oliphant, Excelr8 with Ingram or the Ciceley BMWs could surprise us, but in all honesty I think it is now just between Sutton, Turkington and Butcher.

A good Solid driver Dan and a shame to lose his talent. I just never warmed to his personality. It'll be interesting to see who they bring in and if it matches Dan's ability. Not many make a switch to the BTCC and hit the ground running like he did. No matter how dominant they were in other series.

Not surprising if Dan sits out this year. Not like the PMR astra is anywhere near the level of the Civic.
I think Dynamics will be Shedden and Rowbottom for this year. |

That's a massive shame and I completely didn't see that coming! I'm very much disappointed because Dan Cammish was a quality driver.
Sadly, as we know more and more about the grid this year, it's becoming more and more disappointing... |
