He is comfortable in hospital at this time and I'm sure we all send him our best wishes for a speedy recovery. More news will be forthcoming shortly, I am assured.

PHEW!...THATS A RELIEF.....was properly worried when he left our post yesterday....medical crew and marshals did a brilliant job....full admiration for the rescue crew and doctors after seeing them at work, [snip] just made my day,, thanks for that!

Is there any further news on Frank?

(BTW - reference to the suspected heart attack already on Wikipedia)

Frank has left hospital and is now recuperating at the home of a friend in the UK before returning home by land transport to his home in Monaco.

One of the marshals on the crew that managed Frank's incident was Brian Bennett, brother of legendary race engineer Ron Bennett who was crew chief on the Sid Taylor Racing Lola in period.

That's good to hear. It's been said before, but being at a racetrack is the best place to be when taken ill suddenly.

Nah, they're terrible places to be. Density of paramedics and docs probably higher trackside.

Think about it logically - if it happened in your back garden or on the M25, how close is the nearest help?

Not sure about that as MRSA is endemic in the community but just not screened for!

But being in hospital relies upon the skills of the team looking after you, certainly think that for trauma (car crash / bike accident) being at racetrack better than being at the road side as team probably more experienced
