Daily Sports Car seems to be fairly up to date.

I don't have a detailed list either; but this is a James Tucker quote from Dailysportscar on July 13:

“We’ve got 78 entries at the moment, and the limit is 80, although some of the 78 might drop out. However, anyone keen to race in the 24 Hours ought to contact us soon, because the entry list closes on July 25.”

Thanks for the quick replies guys. Being as July 25th was 4 weeks ago, i am very surprised that there isn't at least something on their own website. (EERC.Co.UK)Unfortunately, i only have a computer at work, not home, and am barred from subscribing to DSC, so please could someone summarise, or post the entries highlights, or is that against DSC rules.

I hate to say this, but July 25th has not happened yet... - only July 19 today.

It was report on DSC a couple of days back that David Leslie and Harry Handkammer, will share a BMW with Anthony Reid and the 2003 Le Mans winner Guy Smith.

Goody, no fewer than three RX8s for me to drool over while trying to keep my eyes open (*) and an RX7

Some of the drivers look like they will be busy, though. Andrew Frankwell appears to be on his own in car 52.

(*I'm marshalling - for my sins - and by the sounds of it, we're going to have to cover a quarter of the circuit each )

With some sponsorship from www.ImmuneSystemBank.org, Graham Coomes and I are now confirmed in the number 13 car, the Lifeforce Ford Falcon with Adam Sharpe.

Quick question - to what extent is this provisional? ie. To what extent are these cars confirmed?

very good question asp (how are you by the way, me ole mucker ?) Am thinking about doing 24 hr now, I have previously sung the praises of Britcar for great racing and grids etc. But have to admit this year have been a bit dissapointed with the amount of no shows. The programs list entries which has been far in excess of the cars on track. I fully appreciate money is the main factor, but i dont want to turn up expecting huge interesting grids and find a minimal grid

I'm fine cheers - bad news is that I'm returning to Essex after only one year abroad, so you'll have the 'pleasure' of my company again sooner than you'd have hoped Anyway...

I've always missed Britcar races (occuring at the wrong dates that I couldn't make), so (assuming other factors don't stop me from attending) I'll be going in with an open mind - but after hearing comments about the last round at Oulton and no shows I'm filled with a little trepidation. That's probably why I really ask the question - if all these people have paid full entry fees there'll be less chance of no shows than if they have just "expressed an interest"

Claire told me that something like 65 cars had paid money by last Saturday (not sure if that is the full £2.4k or the £1k deposit) so seems encouraging. I would not expect them all to make it, but that is a reasonable pool to draw from. I believe if you add the expressions of interest then it comes to the high 70's....

Anyway, we will see. Come say hello we are the blue/silver M3 (#53 I believe for the 24) and Black Z3.

well if these rumours are true, it sounds like the makings of a good race and therefore it maybe a case of venturing away from snet, that will be twice in just over 2 months, blimey that is almost international jet setting for me!

Asp, it will be entertaining to see you at Snet more, trust those pork pies stocked!! PS are you taking some to 24hr, just like to be prepared in case!!

good luck to Ed Pead in the 24 hour race - it'll be a bit of a task combining it with the clios up at donington but i'm sure he'll go well.

does anyone know of any other clio racers, past or present, who are doing the 24 hour event? i noticed julian rouse is doing it and thought julian griffin was - can anyone confirm?

doesn't look that many on the entry list and I rather doubt Ed is doing both - it is possible but he has Clio races on both days.

Cheers Wilbo

I am really looking forward to it now that it's just round the corner. I too am looking forward to the dutch supercar race. The Cor Euser Marcos has got a very good chance of winning both that and the 24.
Look forward to seeing you there.
P.S. bring your kit with you, you never know what might happen mate, someone could well do with your services when the night time comes!

I'd bring my crash helmet too but when I looked in the garden shed for my crash helmet a few months ago I found that mice had eaten all the lining away and had also made a nest in it! Better stick with taking the pictures for a while I guess. Covering the event for some of the regular mags and hopefully it will get the coverage it deserves.
