Peter Arundell RIP
Sad news from my friend Michael Hipperson. Team Lotus driver Peter Arundell died this morning, he has suffered for a while with breathing problems. Michael was due to visit him at his Norfolk home this week.
He was 75 last November. RIP Peter. |

Perhaps his single seater achivements were overshadowed by so many other great drivers at the time. In the Lotus Cortina, however, he was an absolute star and crowd pleaser. His three-wheeling antics through Stowe were something else; a memory that will stay with me for ever.

Don't forget he also had spell as #2 for Team Lotus in F1, but never captured the form he had shown in Formula Junior, which he dominated, and only competed in 11 GP races. Rest in peace.
