Asian GT Masters

Paul Poon of Hong Kong won the first race at the ET China Asian GT Masters yesterday, driving a Ferrari 430 GT3. Lee B. Oliver finishes second with Samson Fung in third place in class, though he was beaten by female driver Rose Tan in a Porsche 997 Cup.

This was the first time a Ginetta G50 Evo races in China.

The races can be seen on Hong Kong's NOW TV Sports channel 4 throughout the week.

compare this to the GT3 asia series? The series in asia are slightly hard to follow

Interesting. I had no idea that Ginetta had a GT3 version of the G50

They don´t have a real GT3 version. But Ginetta developed the G50Z, which is a basic idea of a GT3 for 2010.

The car did not race in the GT3 Class of the ET China Asian GT Masters, it raced in the A class instead. Also in the same class is the Porsche 997 Cup.

poor championship. drivers skills very low. gt3 cars 1,5 sec slower than best porsche carrera cup (menzel,sugden,avila,oyoung).
gt3 asia is truly asia. this is chinese copy.

Universally, I think their A class is GT3 performance, like the GT Open has GTA (GT2).

Also, when will Ginetta complete The G50 GT2?

For this championship, A class is not up to GT3 performance.

I don't think he has said one positive thing about any Asian team. Infact. I bet he likes JLOC just because they actually are 100% Asian.

okay,'PaSa' pairs has a good result on touring cars but they slower than 911 Cup cars 1-2 second a lap with a fully spec GT3 cars,that's a fact.They would have room to improve (as this is their first taste of MR) but how much?

I think the cars are still new to them and they haven't really have the opportunity to set them up properly. Give them sometime before critisizing.
