Britcar 24hours

It's coming to that time of year again.

We would welcome extra bodies in all disciplines for this unique atmosphere event.

Volunteering through Chef Marshal Roy Salsbury.

I'm sure you'd welcome people who could only help out for some of the event - even a few hours to cover a shift, so a marshal can get some extra rest?

Mention this when you volunteer to the chief marshal. I'm sure he'll be able to sort it.

I'll be there as usual, more than likely doing the night shift. Highlight of the year - lets hope the entries are good

If this is your first year marshaling or even if not and you haven't done the Britcar 24hr as yet - this is definitely one to do! Even if you can only do 1 day or 2.. out of the 3 day meeting this year, every day will be fantastic. If you feel like a change from incident/track try some flagging. You'll be amazed by the atmosphere of this very unique event! So come on - get your names down!

Just fired off an e-mail to Roy to volunteer. I will be there for the full 3 days. I have not done the 24hr race before but I am very much looking forward to it.

theres a massive amount of walking in the pitlane for this meeting its not just standing on the pitwall, we have to walk round the back of the pit lane to keep the fire lane clear, very little time is spent on the pitwall

I did in my first year of Marshalling, very few meetings will restrict trainees.

I did it last year as a trainee, and am doing it this year as a trainee too.

It's good fun!

PieLady has not volunteered for this - yet - as still overcoming nasty drugs. More than happy to do Assembly and TeaLady duties but can't overdo things.

So I will help out as much as I can...............

Especially if this really is the last one.

I'm told the Oulton Wanderers will be around Maggotts and Becketts this year so come and visit, Shelagh. I'm sure we can find you a cup of something and a choccie biscuit. If you fancy doing a little flagging I'd welcome your help for as long as you feel up to it. We'll probably have a few trainee flags that will benefit from your vast experience, too.
