Peter Harding should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Formula Student (Saturday and Sunday)

This is a unique event and we are looking for more marshals, particularly on the Saturday and Sunday to assist with the dynamic events.

You need to be flexible as ,many of the activities are different to standard race marshalling.

You can volunteer through Silverstone (Penny) or www.marshals.org.uk (the 750MC form) or PM me.

I signed up based on your recommendation, plus the stories posted after last year - looking forward to something a bit different

Can I do the practice area again on the Sunday?

And the tilt test is fantastic to do..............

Just about to sign off but:

WHERE HAS MY PIELADY "COOL" SMILIE GONE - realised you've changed it to a white face (why?) but I never claim to be the stig. I want my yellow/sunglasses smilie back, please. PieLady has standards to keep.

Great event with a mix of sprint and endurance racing. And look out for the future Brawn or Newery.

Unfortunately I can't make it this year due to marshaling the BSB at Mallory.
But if anyone is thinking about going to this event, stop thinking & just do it!!!
I did my first one last year & throughly enjoyed, it's an event like nothing you will have experienced in the past. You could be looking & talking & helping some of the future F1 & motorsport industry engineers & team mangers of the future.
You will not be disappointed if you make the time to attend.

Oh & if Captain Mainwaring asks you to ride on the back of his opened back van, in the rain WD on the National straight while he forgets he needs to go up Copse runway until he's 10 yards from it, politely decline & get to the tilt table for sanity!!!

Sorry I can't make this year Peter but hopefully next year wont date clash

This will be my first time marshalling the competition, after a few years competing, rather looking forward to the less stressful version of the event.

Have you competed in FS? I know its not the same for every time (like Delpht who are always chilled), but for my uni last year was just a tad 'challenging', though the wheel falling off on the endurance was rather funny!

EDIT

I'm not trying to belittle anybodys efforts mind, it will just be a lot less stressful for me this year on the other side of the fence

Not so much a question as we missed him twice, altough he was always, and no doubt still is very reliable, if you had not spotted it, it was a case of a correction to a spelling error, and it did not seem to give me an option to correct it.
