hgb should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thanks very much. There are no result yet but with 4.5 seconds per lap faster than any other car in qualifying I take it the Mosler made it to the podium quite easily.

Think the Ferrari won, with the mosler second.

Yes the Ferrari won, from the Mosler

I believe it (the Ferrari) took advantage of the first pace car period to pit.

I can assure you that on each pace car deployment, the pace car let through the correct number of cars (as instructed from race control) to pick up the leader. Possibly it got a little confusing because the Mosler pitted at the end of the second pace car period

Listening to Martin Short after the race the Rollcentre team basically didnt take advantage of the first safety car period to pit and make the driver changes (unlike the Ferrari) as they wanted to give Patrick Pearce as much night driving experience as possible given their upcoming Bathurst venture

Brickkicker, the race was added as the original date - November 22nd - had become unavailable due to re-surfacing work being done at Donington.

As for the Saefty car not picking up the leader, as I see it, the ideal time tio release the SC is in front of the leader, however, if it doesn't, not a big problem as it will release cars between it and the leader until he is behind the safety car.

hi all i thought the whole thing was a real experiance and i really wouldnt have missed it , it all went a bit quick in terms of laps but under race conditions it certainly kept my concentration.
It was my Integra that helped the Marcus in its plan to blind the following pack by reversing in to Redgate. Although I really felt for the guy who ended up on the inside apex of Copess pointing the wrong way , i bet he knows what colour adrenalin is , i couldnt work out if it was the same one in the gravel on the other side a lap later.
Anyway thanks to everyone involved i was smiling all the way back to Cornwall on Saturday night.

Mainly positive reactions so far, but some negatives that need explanation.

Regarding organisation, a lot of midnight oil was burnt in the week leading up to the race, MSA small print was interpreted and re-interpreted, and at one point, this time last week, the whole thing was close to being called off. James then got an agreed timing plan that would give a 100 minute race, that was then revised (not by the EERC) on Friday evening to the format that actually happened.

Shambles - probably yes, but this was a first in UK motorsport, and the EERC was quite clear in it's requirements and objectives, but was dependant upon (and this is not a critiscm, just an observation) the cautious and conservative views of the organising bodies. The format was a radical departure from the norm, and naturally handled with some trepidation.

True, the suggested number of entrants didn't materialise, and this is sadly typical of Britcar fields, but on reflection, 23 was probably about right, given the conditions, and performance/experience levels. But what an entry it was ! The usual suspects were joined by very welcome day-trippers from British GT and VW Cup.

It seems that all involved, and most observing, endorse the format, and all support is appreciated to develop and improve for the future.

Well ten out of ten for honesty at least I know who to blame. But you could have bought me a drink in the bar afterwards

Nice pictures Paul.

Is it ok if I send some of No. 27 to the team and my co-driver ?
