Gee T8 are getting desperate, They sack a guy and then beg him to drive the enduros for them. Now they have to draw straws to see who they can get. Not a bad position for the so called championship team. No one wants to drive there.

Overseas drivers are generally useless in V8SC's.

Like Yvan Muller, or John Cleland, or Andy Priaulx?
If VESA and Cochrane want to push on with this 'international expansion' rubbish, overseas drivers are not just a neccesity, but a priority to get any credibility for the series overseas. With Tom Chilton, he is a different case to the previous imports like Muller, Plato and Menu, in that he has a very recent history with powerful RWD cars, winning a round of both the ALMS and LMES last year outright in a Prototype. |

Tom Chilton is a pretty talented steerer if you believe what you read and watch. He has as said, a recent history in RWD cars, these cars though have much more downforce than a V8 Supercar though. In saying that i don't think he would have a problem adapting.

Greg seems you need to keep being told.... Ellery will not be at WPS/Orrcon. All will be reveiled soon, I was expecting an announcement by now but seems we have to wait longer.
As for Paul Weel, who would want him! |

Have just finished reading the newest Great race book, and reading the fastest race laps page what about Tony Evangelou. I note he set the fastest race lap of all the non regular drivers for Perkins and that was in the Tratt/Toll car, (quicker than D'Agostin/Coleman/Simonsen). Stayed out of trouble in both enduros ie: wasnt involved in any incidents. Nothing spectacular but did the job. (As stated in the Great Race 25 only 3 cars DNF'd at bathurst due to mechanical probs this was one). Unless of course this deal was contra for buying Tratts BA last year

Would Simon Wills be likely to get a gig as one of the TBA's?

I would think if he doesn't get a main series drive he would be in demand as a co-driver. If Besnard doesn't get a drive at WPS (looks likely) then i can't see him staying at that team. I would think he would also be in demand for the enduros.

pete on the Aussie Racing Cars site, Besnard is listed as driving the #23 WPS car. One would think he still has ties with the team.

No news has come out of the Morris/TKR teams reguarding the Enduros yet.

The line up will probably as Dude67 suggested.....
#021 for Radisich/Coulthard #39 for Gurr/Faulkner #67 for Morris/Neal Of those 3 combos.. the #021 and #67 cars are probably as good as each other, with the #39 a little further back... |
