March 733
Hi everyone, This is all new to me so apologies if i ive made a mistake. I own a March 733 Chassis No: 18 that i purchased from Adrian Hamilton of Edinburgh. Does anyone know any earlier history of this car. I am in the process of overhauling the car to hopefully run in 09. I am struggling to identify the front brake discs, any help would be gratefull received. Thanks Peter.

Peter
This was Masami Kuwashima's Reystan Racing car in 1973, used in the UK series [I have most of the results] Don't know where it went after that. May not have raced in 1974 as that was a fairly depressed time in British F3. Chris |

adrian hamilton was a "dealer" i recall him running special saloon cars in the very late 70`s/early 80`s notably the VW Scirocco with Imp motor and he also had an Imp of some kind he raced
front brakes on a march F3 car will be the same as on F2 FAtlantic car their brakes will be AP 4 pot (later i can get u a part number from my car) if it is a 2 pot could be AP or Girling AR If you need uprights gearbox parts or body let me know and yes i can! |

Two different Adrian Hamiltons? The dealer by that name was in Surrey, certainly not in Edinburgh.

Gentlemen, this is the March 733 thread, your discussion should be on the miscellaneous car dealers thread...

Thanks Chris for that information, will be coming back to you with regards to results etc. This car is fitted with 2 pot girling ARMk3? As for Adrian Hamilton, he was a manufacturer of garage doors, it appeared to me that he had been involved in formula ford racing for a very long time, although when i purchased the car from him he had a racing Austin A30 & also a racing mini. In '96' he was a member of the historic formula 3 register , if that helps you any driftwood.

Either there are three Adrian Hamiltons or Drifty's wrong. So obviously there are three Adrian Hamiltons.

From the March Sporstcars thread, but re 733s, I don't think March ran any works cars in 73 F3 did they?

Only sort of... I think that both Ian Taylor and Russell Wood had works support

As far as I'm aware, subsequent owners of the Ian Taylor 733 were
Ian Briggs (converted to run an MAE in F4) Mike Cresdee John Brown Chris Fawkes (converted to Monoposto spec) |
