tomashton should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I'm doing a computer model for a school project to find the best pit stop strategy. But i need some data and don't know where to find it. What factors do i need to know? The things i've thought of is total lap time, lap distance, race distance, fuel economy, fuel tank size, time lost through tyre wear, time gained through fuel use (lighter car), and time in pit lane (spped limit, length of pit lane, how long to change tyres, refuel etc). Can anyone help? It can be for any type of car, Formula 1 or GT to endurance races in Fiestas or Minis, and for any track, although British tracks would be better. If you don't know, do you know who might, or whee i might be able to find out the relevant info?
Hope someone can help

You'll have to be more specific really. It really depends on the cars, the length or race, the track, the condition (sunny, raining, etc) and also how the car is going in the race as to whether it is better to pit earlier or later to get past another car. And there is more to it than that too.
